Leader in Electronic Virtualization, VaST, Expands Advisory Board to Drive Growth in Key Markets

Board Brings Experience in Systems, Consumer, Automotive, and Enterprise Software

VaST Systems expanded its advisory board with the addition of experienced industry leaders to drive growth in key markets. In 2007, VaST achieved 119% year-over-year growth in sales. Managing rapid growth requires experience and the new advisory board members bring significant experience in systems, consumer, automotive, and enterprise software.

The advisory board members are: Douglas Chu formally of Credit Suisse (finance and aerospace); Richard T. Williams of Summit Analytic Partners (enterprise software); Marios Zenios, president and CEO of ALTO Consulting Inc. (automotive and consumer electronics); Alberto Sangiovanni Vincentelli of the University of California at Berkeley (semiconductor and systems design); and Ryuichi Hiraide, CEO and Chairman of Gaia Systems (automotive electronics), and Yu “Duke” Hirano (Asian markets and systems integrations).

"The electronics industry is rapidly changing shape and facing new challenges driven by pervasive and inexpensive compute capability. Software is increasingly the driver and point of differentiation for new products across all verticals in the electronics industry. We sought out advisors with deep experience, matching that of our customers, which improves our ability to comprehend customer business challenges. These advisors complement VaST's management team and enable us to anticipate the needs of our end customers and grow the company," said Alain Labat, president and CEO of VaST.
